MS IS and MS BIS Advising

Save time!

90% of student questions can be answered online using the information available in this website or in the MS IS Advising Discussion Forum. Save yourself a trip to NJIT and save time by reading through this website carefully.

Getting Forms Signed

You do NOT need to meet an advisor in person to have forms signed. If you have a form that needs to be signed please follow the following procedure:

  1. Download the appropriate form from the MSIS Forms page
  2. Fill in the form as fully as you can
  3. Write a cover letter that clearly states
    • what the advisor should fill out
    • your student identification number
    • how the form should be returned to you—we can mail the form back to you if you provide an address, or you may come pick up the form from the IS office (GITC 5500)
  4. Get the form to us via one of two methods:
    • Drop it off in the IS Office (GITC 5500), or
    • Mail it to:  ATTN: MSIS Advisor
                       IS Department, NJIT
                      University Heights
                      Newark, NJ 07102-1982
  5. Do not email your forms to us as we do not open email attachments.
