On-Campus and Online Options
NJIT’s Graduate Certificate program addresses the needs of busy professionals who want to continue their education but have busy, active lives.
NJIT facilitates the return to formal advanced education in creating comprehensive 12-credit (four course) Graduate Certificate programs in highly useful professional tracks. Then you can apply to the full MS program in your final semester of classes. All four courses will count fully towards your MS degree.
- Many graduate certificates can be done entirely online, as noted.
- Because some courses are not available online every semester, we recommend you consult with the MS advisor to plan an optimal schedule.
- Most online courses are offered anywhere + anytime. A few are anywhere + same time (or “synchronous”). These synchronous courses use an internet connection for video and audio communication among the instructor and all class members.
At present several certificate programs are offered through NJIT's Office of Continuing and Professional Education which lead to one or more IS masters degrees:
Business & Information Systems Implementation
Emergency Management Design Essentials
Emergency Management and Information Assurance
IT Administration (anticipated for 2010 or 2011)
Network Security and Information Assurance
Physiology & Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)
Technical Communication Essentials
