Information systems enable people to access the information they need, to collaborate, and to conduct their jobs and personal activities effectively. Information systems are the heart of our internet-based economy. IS professionals design computing systems that provide information to support decision making of individuals and organizations. They serve as the critical link between the technical areas and all other areas of organizations. Information systems are used everywhere, including business, health care, science, government, community and personal life.

As our society becomes more and more dependent upon computers of all shapes and sizes, as computing devices become more pervasive there will be a stable and ongoing need for highly-qualified workers in computing-related disciplines. The IS Department at NJIT offers the following programs:

Undergraduate Opportunities
